Fourier TVET Center Sdn. Bhd. (Formerly known as Fourier Technical Consultant, FTC) was founded in 1996 to provide the Engineering Council (UK) and IEM/BEM professional examination course of preparation. To date FTC has successfully trained more than 800 professional engineering graduates who met the academic standard to register as Chartered Engineer (CEng) and Professional Engineer (PEng).
Many of these graduates are now technopreneurs or hold senior positions in MNCs such as Intel Technology, Altera, AMD, Keysight Technologies, Agilent, Motorola Solutions, National Instrument, OSRAM, Robert Bosch, B.Braun medical industries, , Infineon Technologies, , First Solar, Renesas Semiconductior, Sony, Panasonic, Vitrox, Elsoft, Falcon Illumination, Mi Equipment etc.
Many of these graduates also formed the panel of our trainers. On average our trainers possess more than fifteen (15) years of work experience in product R&D, smart devices manufacturing, front end wafer /ICs fabrication, high speed equipment and automation system design, RF test and measurement , electronic instrumentations, optoelectronics, fiber optics communications, medical healthcare product, wireless and mobile communications , multi-tasks programming, cloud computing, robotics & machine visions, M&E consulting companies ,precision tooling, Aerospace , Big Data, Internet of Things (IoT), CAD/CAM etc.
In 2014, FTC has initiated DUAL education and training programs, the first of its kind in the world. So far no country in the world has ever achieved what FTC has done. Despite not getting any financial support from Malaysia central government nor Penang state government, no donation from public, FTC are able to provide equal opportunity for local youths (especially from low income families) to pursue tertiary education and training, no financial support is needed from their parents nor they need to get a study loan. The higher education expenditure and living cost are fully supported from industries, through industry’s sponsorship, pay salary and employment benefits.
Many of our students despite being less than 20 years old and still a student , but they have to pay income tax !
